Government has through its Communications Minister, Dr. Omane Boamah responded to what they call ‘lies’ of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo.
Nana Akufo-Addo in an address at the party’s special delegates congress in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region accused the Mahama-led administration of corruption and poor governance.
But the strongly worded statement from the Communications Minister noted that “It would appear however that he [Nana Addo] is determined to press ahead with this ignominious role as the ‘Peddler-In-Chief’ of lies and concocted stories about Government”.
“… Mr. Akuffo Addo had also made false and uninformed claims about the cost of the Kasoa Interchange Project without recourse to any evidence. Infact, it took a member of his own party to point out to him that his claim was unjustifiable,” he statement stated.
The government has outrightly rubbished allegations by the NPP in its responds. Dr. Boamah also urged the former MP to stop peddling "malice" and "lies".
