Minority Leader In Parliament Exposes Smartty's Over $98m Dollar Deal With Gov't

Head of Smartty's Management Limited, Selassie Ibrahim who was earlier noted for the controversial bus rebranding deal with government has been revealed to be currently representing an unnamed Chinese electrification firm for yet another $98 million deal with government, reports from the minority leader in parliament, Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu indicates.

The minority leader has shown that the reported contract is contained in documents brought to parliament for approval which has also been signed by the accounts officer of the company.

The report by the minority leader follows the controversial 3.6 million cedi deal between the same company and government for the re-branding of government buses - a development which has seen transport minister, Dzifa Attivor tender in her resignation as government has further ordered the attorney general to retrieve all monies from the company.
