The Ghana Meteorological Agency is forecasting a drought in Ghana in 2016.
According to the GMA the drought is expected to happen from December 2015 to April 2016.
Madam Ahafianyo further explained that their research indicate that there will be little rainfall in the rainy season in 2016.
She advised farmers to explore irrigation to protect their crops. “This is going to have a negative impact on agriculture because in Ghana, most of our farmers depend on agriculture so it’s going to have an impact on them because we are going to have less rainfall and the duration is also going to be short so definitely, the farmers will not benefit that much.”
