The Asokwa MP, Hon Patricia Appiagyei aka Mama Pat on Wednesday commissioned a training pitch at Ahinsan, a suburb of Asokwa in her constituency.
The MP has put up a programme to help develop training pitches which is aimed at harnessing talents of the youth and also creating employment in the Asokwa constituency where Black Stars midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah hails from.
Commissioning the project, she stated that the impact that football has had on the life of Kwadwo Asamoah is a clear indication that the sport can offer jobs to a lot of youth in her constituency.
Mama Pat hinted that she will develop more of those facilities which will bring the youth together to be imparted with knowledge on various development issues in the near future, just as it has done for Kwadwo Asamoah, whose talent was developed by Asokwa Deportivo FC, a division one club in the Ashanti region.
The MP prayed that her intention to develop football pitches in her constituency will offer the young ones opportunities to develop their talents and help reduce the level of unemployment in the community.
Asamoah now plays for the Serie A champions, Juventus who he helped win the scudetto.
