Sierra Leonean Refugees Left Stranded In Takoradi After Demolition Exercise

Several Sierra Leonean refugees have been left homeless after their home got demolished at Takoradi in the Western Region following a court order.

The court order which is reported to have been aimed at repaying a loan secured by a complainant has seen the stranded refugees call on government to intervene as they further petition the Chief Justice to overturn the ruling.

Sierra Leonean refugees relocated in Ghana in the late 1990's following the Civil War in the region. Meanwhile government is yet to respond to the petition of the affected refugees.
