A founder member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, who was suspended by the party has hit back at the Greater Accra Regional executives, describing them as “gaping sycophants”.
Ishmael Ashietey, who is the regional chairman of the party in a letter dated December 31, 2015, announced the suspension of Nyaho Tamakloe who is also a leading member of the party following a petition filed against him.
However, in a response, the fire-brand Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe challenged the decision of the party and said the executives had no right to suspend him.
The former Ambassador to Serbia, accused them of trying to please the flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo. He regretted the internal wrangling in the NPP, and had some harsh words at those who promoted it. He called them, “fascists” within the party.
By this development, Dr Nyaho becomes the fourth big shot in the NPP to be suspended after Paul Afoko, then National Chairman, General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong, and 2nd Vice Chair Sammy Crabbe.
