Angry Teshie Residents Besiege ECG Office Over Sudden Disapperance Of Credits

Angry residents at Teshie in Accra have thronged the offices of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) as they complain bitterly over the sudden disappearance of credits from their prepaid meters just few days after re-crediting them thus accusing the ECG of illegally manipulating the system at their disadvantage.

In an interview with CitiFM, a resident narrated how he bought 50 cedis worth of credit which just got used up in barely two days stating the explanation he had from the customer service desk of the ECG was that he had no cause to complain due the hikes in utility tariffs.

Meanwhile the the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured customers of its resolve to pay back balances by the end of January 2016 following the miscalculation of hikes in the utility tariff difference between 1st December and 13th December 2015.
