The week started on a mixed reaction note. This mixed reaction was as a result of budding Musician, Wisa Greid’s actions on the December 2 Remember stage.
For pulling out his manhood, the singer became the talk of every tabloid, radio and television. News of his act went viral instantly. While many endorsed that he needs to be prosecuted, others backed him saying, it is all part of his stagecraft.
Citi FM, the company that contracted his services have given the Police Service the mandate to prosecute him. The programmes Manger of Citi FM, Jessica Saforo says he believes the singer planned the act.
Another interesting twist to this trending story is his public apology and the controversy over his penis, be it big or small. His wife, Marie also went public in an interview, appealing to Ghanaians to forgive his hubby as she has forgiven him already.
Wisa’s day of reckoning at the court house came, only for him to plead not guilty and denied showing his manhood on stage. Wisa’s lawyer then comes in with the story that what Wisa showed on stage is not his real penis but a dildo. This has led many wondering if what they saw was a penis or a dildo.
Just when that was going down, the much controversial award, Ghana music awards was held, As expected Beast of No Nations swept home most of the awards with Yvonne Nelson’s “if tomorrow never comes” following as the second to sweep most awards.
As expected, it was a night of glamour and fashion. Many actors graced the red carpet with various styles and shapes. It was more of a battle for soul winning and a pun on words. The week and year also ended on a sad note as news went viral that movie producer, Abdul Salam Mumuni lost his youngest son to death. The boy was found dead in the swimming pool in the producer’s house.
Just when the week ushered in the New Year and was getting to a round up, Ghana , woke up on January 2, 2016 to the devastating news of Daniel Amakye Dede being involved in a gory accident which claimed the life of his manager, Isaac yeboah. The accident led his body guard with a broken rib. Daniel was later transferred to Korle- Bu Teaching hospital with the help of giants like Kwame Despite of Despite group of companies. Amakye Dede has since been discharged and reported to be reporting to treatment.
Isaac Yeboah was the editor of an entertainment paper P&P before his demise and an art writer as well. His body has been transferred by the family to Accra and hence to Takoardi.
