Gov't Offers Residence To Hard Core Ex-Prisoners From Guantanamo Bay

Ghana through the ministry of foreign affairs has agreed to a request by the US government to offering residence to two hardened ex-prisoners from the world's most hardcore prison cell, Guantanamo Bay.

In a statement signed by the minister of foreign affairs and regional integration, Hanna Tetteh, the offer will also see Ghana provide shelter to hundreds of displaced persons from Rwanda, Yemen and Syria.

The move by government is feared to cause a security scare in the country considering the weakened security output of the country but foreign minister, Hanna Tetteh assures that the movement of all the prisoners and refugees would seriously be considered.

Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, located in the United States is documented to be one of the oldest overseas prisons in the world where terrorists, hardcore criminals and other human threats against humanity are detained.
