The suspended chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Paul Afoko says he will vote for the NPP even though he is certain the party can win the November polls.
Speaking on TV3’s Hot Issue programme which will be aired tomorrow [Saturday]; the embattled chairman, said: “I will vote for the New Patriotic Party, it is my party” but the party is watching victory slip through its hands.
Mr Afoko who was not pleased with current happenings in the party said; “All that we need to do is already there, it is staring us in the face. Let’s go back to the Supreme Court and we get told by Afari Gyan; the message he was giving us at the time, we didn’t want to hear; polling stations, that is where victory lies…in those polling stations that is where we win or lose.
“…It (victory) is still there, it is possible, but for me to say that; based on the confidence with which I walked off that stadium in Tamale after my victory ,telling everybody that by March, end of first quarter of 2016 even NDC would have hands up and say it’s gone; we don’t have it any longer, that certainty is gone,” he lamented.
Mr. Paul Afoko and two other NPP national executives have been suspended by the party’s national council for indiscipline and insubordination.
