Ivoirian player Yaya Toure, has expressed his disappointment at the 2015 Glo-CAF awards organized by CAF on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria.
The four-time winner of the African Player of the Year award expressed his disappointment since Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was handed the award.
Yaya is peeved as to why the top gong should not emerge from the best performing team on the African continent.
In an interview with French radio RFI, a disappointed Yaya Toure, stressed the ‘shame’ Africa brings to itself by not considering things that happen in Africa.
Yaya Toure and Ghana’s Andre Ayew came second and third behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang respectively.
Many analysts believe Aubemeyang won the award mainly due to his exploits in the German bundesliga with Dortmund.
