Another popular Ghanaian actor, Abraham Kofi Davies [Salinko] has picked forms to contest for Atwima Kwawonma Constituency parliamentary seat in Ashanti on the ticket of the Progressive People Party (PPP).According to sources the actor is likely to go unopposed in the party’s primaries.

Salinko confirmed the news to the media after his posters went viral on social media. Some influential personalities in the PPP and supporters reportedly convinced the Comedian cum actor to contest in the upcoming polls after persist calls on him.

Salinko, born in 1979 happens to be one of the multi-talented actors in Ghana.

The Actor who begun his acting carrier 9 years ago has been starring in countless movies in Ghana.

He has his own production house ABDAVE PRODUCTION producers of Bantama Kwasi Boakye a TV series on GTV and Metro TV.

He joins the number of Ghanaian celebrities and actors who are contesting in the November polls.

The Progressive People's Party (PPP) is a political party in Ghana. It was formed in 2012 by Paa Kwesi Nduom, who was the presidential candidate for Convention People's Party in the 2008 general election.

The Progressive Peoples Party managed to pull 64,267 popular votes in the 2012 general elections with Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom as the flagbearer and Ms. Eva Lokko as the running mate, making it the third largest Political party and the 2nd largest opposition party in Ghana.

The party’s formation followed the declaration on 28 December 2011 by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom for progressive and independent-minded people to rise and cause to be formed an alternative political movement.
