Motorists and road users are being cautioned to desist from plying the Dodowa - Aburi road, until the Ghana Highway Authority steps in to avert the life threatening situation on that stretch of the road.
This caution is due to a heavy rock that is gradually falling off along that stretch of the road. According to road users and some pedestrians in the area, the rock has been falling off gradually and they are worried its final fall might injure passengers in any car on that stretch of the road.
According to information gathered by Yen.com.gh, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Aburi has taken measures to block the part of the Aburi road that poses danger to motorists and road users. The District Chief Executive adds that the road will not be opened to road users and pedestrians the Ghana Highway authority makes a move about the dangerous rocks.
In view of the above this message comes as caution to road users and motorists plying that stretch of the road to be careful. Readers are also advised to pass the message across to family members and friends to help avert another disaster. It is advised that ply other roads instead of the Dodowa- Aburi stretch to avert a looming disaster.
As at the time of filing this report, the Ghana Highway authority has not yet reacted to the situation.
