Gov't Finally Employs 3000 Graduate Nurses

About 3000 graduate nurses have officially been employed by government following financial clearance by the ministry of health - making them eligible to start work across several public hospitals in the country.

About 5,000 unemployed trainee nurses and midwives are documented to have picketed at the Flagstaff House impressing upon the presidency to act upon their delayed postings as several attempts by them to get authorities address their concerns proved futile. But in an interview to the media, president for the Ghana Registered Nurses Association, Kwaku Asante Krobea confirmed the postings have been effected.

Meanwhile government is yet to address cases of unemployment among graduate teachers who also picketed at the Flagstaff House in demand for government to employ them into the Ghana Education Service.
