Cantonments Robbery: Three Suspects Remanded

An Accra Circuit Court has remanded three of the suspects in the robbery attempt on a Koala employee at Cantonments last Saturday morning.

According to the prosecutor the trio have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime. Narrating the incident to the court Wednesday morning the, the prosecutor said, the robbers met a day before the robbery where they hatched the plan and went ahead to execute it.

On Saturday morning, two robbers a lady believed to be an employee of Koala. She was thought to be on her way to deposit the previous day’s sales at the bank. While bolting, a taxi driver rammed into the motorbike of the thieves, forcing them into a nearby drain.

This two robbers could not appear in court today [Wednesday] because they are still nursing their wounds sustained during the operation.

The case has been adjourned until January 28, 2016 by which time the two robbers will be well enough to appear before the court.
