Akaminko To Part Ways With Turkish Side, Eskisehirspor?

Reports are rife in the media that Black Stars top defender Jerry Akaminko has parted ways with his Turkish Super Lig side  Eskisehirspor.

The player who just returned from a long-term injury has had his contract with the Turkish outfit terminated after being deemed surplus by manager Samet Aybaba.

Akaminko suffered an awkward ankle injury in a preparatory friendly game with the Netherlands which ruled him out of team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

He could land himself a new club before the January transfer window comes to an end due to his experience in the Turkish league with Manisaspor where he moved to join his current team, Eskisehirspor.

Eskisehirspor are reportedly expected to release an official statement confirming the release of the tough-tackling center-half .

Akaminko who scored once in 80 appearances for Eskisehirspor since joining them in 2012 has to more years left on his contract with the club.

Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports that the player terminated his contract with Eskişehirspor due to the club’s poor financial standing.
