2016 Will Be A Testing Time For Ghana - Rawlings Warns Political Leaders

Founding father of the incumbent National Democratic Congress and former president, Jerry John Rawlings has described 2016 as a crucial year for Ghana thus the need for all political leaders to exhibit caution in their political campaigns.

Jerry Rawlings in a statement to executives of the People’s National Convention (PNC) when its flagbearer Dr Edward Mahama paid a courtesy call on him expressed doubt over the sanctity of Ghana's political landscape thus charging politicians to ensure peace.

In the meantime, the Ablekuma South Member of Parliament and member of the parliamentary select committee on defense and interior, Fritz Baffuor has revealed government’s resolve to employ the use of drones to effectively monitor Ghana’s borders ahead of the November 7 elections.

Ghana’s political tension is reported to have risen as both candidates of the incumbent NDC and main opposition NPP are doing everything possible to cling on to power in the elections.
