Ghana defender Daniel Amartey is reportedly being chased with a £5m Leicester City deal which could see him play in the English Premier League sooner than expected.
The 21-year-old, has been a target for some premiership clubs, particularly Liverpool who had kept the tabs on the young Black Stars defender for some time now.
However, Leicester City trainer, Claudio Ranieri who is a well-known admirer for genteel players, has jumped into the frame of things and would want to seal a deal with the player’s club, FC Copenhagen.
The Danish giants are said to have confirmed they have received a bid from Leicester City for the Accra born, Daniel Amartey.
“There has been rumours in the press about FC Copenhagen considering selling Daniel Amartey to the English club Leicester City,” read the statement from FC Copenhagen
“FC Copenhagen can confirm that we have received an offer on Daniel Amartey from Leicester City FC. Right now there are talks between the two clubs. We will send out a new press release if a final agreement is reached.”
Amartey, joined FC Copenhagen after stints with Swedish side, Djurgardens.
