Saturday January 16 marked exactly two weeks since Abrantie Amakye Dede’s Manager, Isaac kwesi Yeboah passed.
As is the norm, there should have been a one week celebration, but the celebration was delayed for two weeks, to allow Amakye Dede to recuperate from the accident. Today marked the celebration of two weeks since Isaac Yeboah died in that accident.
The ceremony which was held to announce the date for the final funeral rites of Isaac was held at Abrantie Spot at Lapaz in Accra on Saturday January 16.
At the solemn ceremony many industry players and friends of the deceased were present to show their solidarity. These included Kofi Wayo, Socrate Safo, Bandex, Jackie Appiah, George Quaye, Oheneba Kissi, Sokoo Hemaa, Dr. Cann, Akosua Agyapong, CEO of Bandex Music, Jackie Appiah’s manager Samira and Isaac Yeboah’s wife, Nana Adobea and his sons. Nana Dokuaa Adobea was seated with her sons at the event.
Prior to the celebration, Nana Adobea is reported to have told Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM that that the last time she saw her husband was on 31st December, when she informed him she will be going for the 31 Night service.
Isaac Yeboah died instantly in a road accident on January 1 when a car he was in with Amakye Dede and his body guard Prince Mensah was involved in a fatal accident. He was with Amakye Dede and his bodyguard waiting for Amakye to perform at the concert at the Paradise Resort at the Bunso junction when the sprinter crashed into them.
Isaac Yeboah, who left behind a wife and two children, has been the Editor for Ghana’s popular newspaper P&P for many years and he was a regular contributor to several showbiz radio programmes in Ghana, including Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review.
Meanwhile, Abrantie Amakye Dede is reported to have acquired a 2015 Toyota Tundra vehicle to add to his collection of cars.
The 2015 Toyota Tundra is powered by a 4.6-liter V-8 with off-road-styled SR5 package. It has a metallic interior accents and fabric upholstery with 18-inch wheels. The Toyota Tundra 2015 model is estimated to cost $75,000. As to whether this is the appropriate time to purchase the car, your guess will be as good as mine.
