Anyinam Police Arrests Prophet For Theft

The Anyinam police on Monday, arrested the Leader of Fresh Anointing Ministry at Akyem Dwenase in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern region for stealing mobile phones.

Prophet Samuel Okai was said to have been drunk when he was arrested.

The management of Owura Phones, a mobile phone sales outlet said he pretended to be interested in buying some of the mobile phones on entering the shop but was later spotted by the alert sales attendant when he attempted stealing some of the phones away.

According to the shop owner, Mr Frimpong who spoke to a Bright FM reporter, Prophet Okai went to the shop on a window shopping spree but was later caught stealing the items.

"He came here to do window shopping in a drunk state but the attendant caught him in the act stealing the phones" he indicated.

The suspect, Prophet Samuel Okai on interrogation, admitted stealing the phones but attributed it to “the work of the devil”.

Prophet Okai was quoted as saying his drunkenness was rather due to a concoction he had taken to speed up the ailment for a particular sickness of his.

He is currently in police custody awaiting trial.
