Ghana Army In Very High Corruption Risk - Transparency International Reveals

Transparency International in its latest corruption survey has rated the Ghana Armed Forces a poor grade of 'D' in a report released in Accra on Tuesday.

Senior adviser at the Transparency International, Sir Stewart Eldon revealed that Ghana was ranked in place with several African states as Kenya and South Africa considering the  political, financial and operational risks in the military service.

The recent downgrading of the Ghana Armed Forces by Transparency International comes in the wake of several duties resting on the shoulders of Ghana's Army especially as the 2016 general elections fast approaches. In the meantime, officials of the Ghana Armed Forces are yet to react to downgrading by the Corruption Index company.
