Teachers Exit Classrooms For Organised Labour Strike

 

Pupils in Ghana are suffering the nationwide strike by Organised Labour as Teachers join in the decision to strike against high utility tariffs.

The decision by the teachers to vacate the classrooms followed a notice served the Ghana Education Service by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).

 

Wednesday’s protest by Organised Labour was hugely successful as attendance across the country was mammoth. In Accra the police estimated that about 5000 people were present. In the Western region, Tarkoardi specifically the demo ended peaceful an attendance was equally good. The Volta region was not left out of this event.
