President John Dramani Mahama is expected to co-chair a Forum on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at Davos in Switzerland on Thursday, January 21.
The event, attended by world leaders, will also see the launch of the new SDG Advocacy Group appointed only this week by the UN Secretary General. President Mahama and Prime Minister Erna Solberg of Norway are co-chairing the 16-member SDG Advocacy Group put together to support the Secretary-General in his efforts to generate momentum and commitment to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
The president, who would be accompanied by the Foreign Affairs minister, Hanna Tetteh, is set to leave Accra on Wednesday and return on Friday January 22.
