Barcelona’s Argentine player, Lionel Messi is desperately in search for a boy in Iraq whose photo in a mock jersey of the international soccer star made from plastic bags has gone viral.
The image of the dedicated young fan of the Barca star which is said to be from the war torn region of Dohuk, Iraq is said to have caught the attention of Messi as it emerged on social media last week.
For now, the identity of the boy is not known, which saddens Messi more as he desperately searches to give a helping hand to the poor lad who everything about him says he is needy but a talented kid, according to report.
The boy’s improvised jersey is exactly the replica of the blue and white stripes of Messi’s Argentina national shirt.
A Messi fan account on Twitter, @Messi10stats, says they received a message from the soccer player’s team and “they want to know who the kid is so that Leo can arrange something for him.”

There has been no official word from Messi, but as a partner of UNICEF who has done charity work for children in the past, he is expected to motive the young fan who snubbed Iraq’s jersey for that of the Albicelestes, (sky blue and whites of Argentina).
