ECG Compensates Over 300,000 Customers Following Vanishing ECG Credits

ECG Compensates Over 300,000 Customers Following Vanishing ECG Credits

Deputy Minister of Power, John Jinapor has revealed that about 333,902 prepaid metre subscribers who suffered wrongful deductions have been fully compensated by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Explaining to Citi FM the development, John Jinapor expressed that the ECG credited back its customers an amount totaling GH3 million stating that the wrongful deductions were being rectified.

The move by the ECG to credit affected subscribers follows the besieging of one ECG office in Teshie by angry residents who complained bitterly over the sudden disappearance of credits from their prepaid meters just few days after re-crediting them thus accusing the ECG of illegally manipulating the system at their disadvantage.
