The Odorkor District Police Command has mounted a search for a 71-year-old man, for allegedly defrauding a business man on the pretext of renting out a property to him.
Ernest Adu Baffour, the suspect is alleged to have defrauded a businessman of GH¢24,600 on the ploy of giving out a storey building at East Legon to him for rent.
DSP Emmanuel Osei Agbogah who spoke to the Daily Graphic, said the businessman had contacted Baffour through a mobile number displayed on a house for rent at East Legon.

The said recipient of the call, posing as an agent, took him to inspect the property after the businessman, name withheld, had expressed interest in the property.
The businessman was led to a house by the said agent at Atico in Accra to meet Baffour, who introduced himself as the owner of the building.
The money was subsequently paid to Baffour, who promised to hand over the keys to the building after two days to make way for a few works ongoing at the property, to be entirely completed.
However, several calls to the mobile phones of Baffour and the agent proved futile for days.
“When the businessman went to the house to look for Baffour he was told there was no one in the house by that name. But the complainant claim he was ushered into a living room and served water in the same house on the day he paid the money for the rent to Baffour,” DSP Agbogah said.
The case was, therefore, reported to the Odorkor police who has since been hunting for the suspect who is currently on the run.
