Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has reportedly held talks with Manchester United chiefs ahead of a possible move to Old Trafford in the summer when he will out of contract.
Guardiola has revealed he would not be signing an extension with Bayern Munich as he looks forward for an adventure in the Premier League though he is yet to name the club he would manage.
French newspaper L’Equipe reports that Guardiola met with United representatives last week. The meeting took place in Paris, at the Hotel Bristol, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Rumours have been rife that Guardiola will replace under-pressure Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City but the latest meeting with United chiefs have suggested he could reject City who were the front-runners for his signature.
Just last week the coach said: “When I sign a contract I will announce it immediately. Maybe it will be two years until I will coach a team in England.”
Guardiola has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in recent times and he has been reported to have held talks with representatives of all clubs at various times.
