Singer Celine Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, is due to be buried today.
At the viewing of Husband Rene Angelil, on Thursday, online site TMZ reports that Celine Dion put on a brave face, personally sharing a moment with almost every mourner.
The viewing was held at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where the couple married in 1994.
Celine sometimes tearfully stood by Rene's open casket, accepting condolences from the public. There's a huge line wrapped around the cathedral.
Prior to the viewing, Celine Dion had denied reports that she will perform at her late husband funeral, Celine squashed those reports saying she will not perform because she is still in the throes of grief.
Her rep told TMZ that it never crossed her mind to perform -- but it's possible one or two of her songs will play in the background.
Celine's also planning a celebration of life for her late husband in Las Vegas. That will be held February 3rd at the Caesars Palace Colosseum, where Celine regularly performs.
Rene and Celine have been married for 21 years and are blessed with three children. The funeral will be televised on 3 networks and flags will fly at half-staff .Celine also lost her brother to cancer just days after Rene died.
