Veteran Ghanaian Actor, Solomon Sampah Dies At Age 70

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Solomon Sampah has died at the age of 70 after a short term ailment.

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Solomon Sampah has died at the age of 70 after a short term ailment.

Sampah, who became famous after featuring in the ‘Original Hacks’ television promo, ‘Quench Walahi’ TV commercials among others in the 1990s is reported to have died on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Emmanuel Sampah, brother of the late actor, told Myjoyonline that Solomon complained his health had deteriorated Friday. He said the actor, had not been well for the past three months.

He was survived by a wife and eight children – four males and four females. Solomon Sampah, born in James Town, British Accra, would have turned 71 on February 14.

Funeral arrangements are yet to  be announced concerning his burial.
