I Will Sack You If You Go To School - Mahama Warns MMCEs

There has been a directive from President Mahama to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMCEs) which orders that MMCEs should, as a matter of urgency, stop attending school until the finish serving their duties as MMCEs.

The directive was contained in a statement issued in Accra on Thursday by  Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Mr Collins Duada who asked  Regional Ministers to inform all MMDCES in their regions to strictly comply with the directive stating that they (the MMCEs) would “have themselves to blame” if they flout the directive.

It remains unclear the reasons behind such directive but reports do indicate that the order by the President followed the incessant rate at which political office holders shirked their duties all in the name(s) of furthering their education in universities in the Accra.
