CPP holds presidential debate tonight

The Convention People's Party (CPP) is expected to hold its first ever presidential debate today, January 26 at Studio B of TV Africa in Accra at 7 pm.

The main motive of the debate is to test the understanding of all aspiring presidential candidates of the party on the national economy and general issues bordering on governance.

In the meantime, the CPP is expected to hold its presidential primaries between Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30, 2016. Four candidates have so far picked and submitted nomination forms to contest the primaries. They include Madam Yaaba Samia Nkrumah, a former chairperson of the party and former MP for Jomoro, Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet a former two-time contestant.
