Spanish side, Malaga FC loanee, Christian Atsu has expressed great admiration for former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho.
Atsu who has been sent on loan to Malaga by Guus Hidddink still found time to put away his worries and commend Mourinho’s nature and work ethics.

The Ghana international joined Chelsea from Porto on Mourinho’s call at a time many felt he was blossoming gradually as a young player but he has gone on loan through Vitesse, Everton, and lately, Bournemouth.
Jose, however, had to face the sack following Chelsea’s disappointing start to the 2015-16 season, and the Ghanaian’s struggle for play time and some battles with injury made it imminent that, he might need to work hard and try his luck on new manager, Hiddink or try it elsewhere.
He did impressed the technical team who felt it wise that he could be useful as a wide man in future but perhaps needed experience, and had to settle on Levante also in the Spanish league. Malaga surprisingly ditched Levante to land the former MVP at the AFCON 2015.
Atsu would go to the Spanish league with quite some experience from the EPL and just who knows, maybe, some tutelage from the man he calls, a ‘great man’, Mourinho.
“Mourinho is a very good man and when I met him, he was always joking with me,” Atsu told the BBC in an interview before his departure.
“I wasn’t playing but anytime he sees me, he says ‘Christian, you have to play’. I quite remember meeting him when I was at Bournemouth, I got injured and had to come back. He said I was a spy.”
“He’s a great man. He’s fantastic and I like him as a coach. He’s mentally strong and wants to win.”
The playmaker is hugely expected to excel in Spain by tapping on Mourinho’s mental fortitude having endured an injury-blighted loan spell at Bournemouth, making only two League Cup appearances for the Cherries before a Chelsea recall last December.
