Chelsea are still making the headlines with transfer rumours as they are linked with high profile purchases which is understandably so because of the club’s woeful campaign so far.
They are also putting their house in shape and off-loading some players on loan and others who they willingly let go. Juan Cuadrado could return, Atsu is gone to Malaga and Ramires sold to Juansi.
Chelsea loan flops Juan Cuadrado could be asked by Juventus to return to Stamford Bridge unless Chelsea drops their asking price for a permanent sale from £20.6 million to £7.6 million.
The Colombian according to Italian outlet Calciomercato has not impressed the Old Lady. Cuadrado has managed only 12 starts in 22 appearances for the Bianconeri, but he's likely to be unwanted at Stamford Bridge, too, after making just four Premier League starts in his first six months with Chelsea. Radimir Falcao’s Monaco vice-president, Vadim Vasilyev told French radio station RMC that the Ligue 1 outfit harboured the idea of bringing back the Colombian but his lack of playing time has made them reconsidered the prospect of recalling him.
"It's true that we have spoken several times with Falcao. The first idea was that he returned to Monaco to play the second half of the season. He came to us, he was assessed by our doctors. Unfortunately, he was injured. We took the decision, it is better that he remains at Chelsea," he said. (Bleacher report)
Gary Cahill will reportedly quit Chelsea if he Guus Hiddinks continuously plays 21-year-old French man, Kurt Zuma over him.
Cahill is getting the jitters that he might lose his starting role at the UEFA Euro 2016 for England considering Manchester United's Chris Smalling and Everton's John Stones improving form. He has been forgotten since Guus Hiddink succeeded Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager, and now the defender is ready to try to revive his career elsewhere. (The Sun)
Ashley Cole has moved on from AS Roma and joined MLS side LA Galaxy, as confirmed by the American club’s official site.
According to them, Galaxy head coach and general manager Bruce Arena has welcomed Cole to the club and outlined some duties he would want the former Chelsea player to play.
"Ashley is one of the world’s most successful defenders and has played at the highest level of competition throughout his career," Arena said. "He can provide our defense with valuable experience. We look forward to his contribution to our club this season."
Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez is reportedly itching for a dream move to Manchester United and he aims to achieve that by pushing it with some higher salary demand which has not gone well with the board room.
According to Fernando Baquero of Sport, the Colombian wants a salary increase and that request has “not gone down well at the club or in the dressing room."
“That was the beginning of the end for players like Higuain, Ozil and Di Maria, who left Madrid through the back door,” continued Baquero, who also wrote that James' lifestyle isn’t “fitting for a professional footballer.”
