Four men suspected to be Fulani men who killed a police officer in a robbery incident on the Atebubu-Ejura road last Friday, have been arrested by the Police in Ashanti Region.
The police administration gave their names as Gariba Salifu, alias Kudi ,19; Sulemana Ibrahim, 33; Mumuni Yussif alias Romea, 22 and Emmanuel Yeboah alias Tupac, 20.
Corporal Alexander Kyeremeh, 30, who was stationed at Bimbilla in the Northern Region met his untimely death last Friday afternoon when he was shot in the right rib by the armed robbers.
The deceased, was on board a bus travelling from Yeji to Kumasi when the bus he was travelling on, bumped into the armed robbers who had earlier intercepted another bus travelling from Atebubu to Kumasi.
They were also stopped and ordered to surrender all the monies on them by the robbers numbering about three with a fourth one hiding in a bush nearby. He was shot in the right rib by the armed robbers when he failed to comply with their order.
Corporal Kyeremeh, 30 was sent to the Ejura Government Hospital where he died some three minutes later.
