Joyce Aryee condemns Mahama over bus rebranding deal, describes payment as ''criminal''

Former head of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Dr Joyce Aryee has condemned the Mahama administration over the recent bus re-branding deal with Smarttys Management and Production describing the cost involved as criminal and vulgar.

Adding her voice to the controversial 3.6 million cedi deal, the astute politician expressed in clear language that the way(s) and means by which the deal was reached was absolutely wrong and questionable.

The comments by Joyce Aryee follows a recent leaked report by Citi FM in Accra which shows that the controversial amount of money disbursed for the payment of the bus rebranding was rather meant for the development of the rail way sector, in that,  Ministry of Transport did not have the funds to pay Smarttys Management and Productions for the branding, and, thus, diverted the Annual Budget Funding (ABF) amount for the development of railway infrastructure into the branding of the 116 buses.
