The body of the man who drowned in last Saturday’s ferry accident has been found.
The body was washed ashore Monday afternoon. The man’s name was only given as Badu and is believed to be in his 40s and was a tractor operator.
The small ferry sank while carting a truck [Man Diesel vehicle] and some goods from Atoaboma to Bridge Anu. Ten people who were also on board the ferry got injured.
It is believed that the weight of the vehicle and goods were heavier than the ferry, causing it to sink.
Meanwhile the body of Badu brings to two the number of people confirmed dead in the disaster.
