A Starr FM report monitored says a cancer-stricken boy, made a startling request to his nurses which left them dumbfounded for a while.
He told nurses to take him to the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) so that he can sit in an aeroplane before his death. The boy has been told by doctors that he may die anytime soon after his parents failed to fund his treatment.
The report says doctors has since told the boy of his fate, that nothing could be done to save him from imminent death since his parents were no longer able to afford the cost of his treatment which are expensive.
The nurses who confirmed this to Starr News on a condition that they would not divulge the hospital’s identity, also failed to give further details to the young boy’s health.
They only said, the lad had been suffering from a protracted cancer and has been told by medical doctors that nothing can be done to save him after his parents gave up any hope of his recovery.
The parents were said to have told the hospital that they were “fed up and depressed” and are only awaiting the young boy’s death.
The nurses granted his wish and drove him to the Kotoka International Airport in an ambulance where he was given a special treat by a Delta Airline cabin crew on one of their aircrafts, as that was his only wish before he dies.
Meanwhile, according to the information picked by the news outlet, Starr FM, the boy was kept at home because the parents could not afford the cost of his treatment.
The parents were also alleged to have rejected several helping hands by benevolent citizens who wanted to help the poor boy.
