Ministerial nominees to be vetted

- PAC will vet Nii Lante Vanderpuye and other nominees

- Vetting is supposed to last over the next three days

Parliament will on Monday, February 8, 2016 begin vetting the ministers nominated by President John Mahama in accordance with the oversight role of the Executive.

Ministers expected to go through the mill at the legislature include, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, minister designate for Youth and Sports, Upper East Region minister designate, Albert Adongo and Central Region minister designate, Kweku Rickett Hagan.

The process which is expected to be conducted by the Parliament’s Appointment Committee (PAC) will see other nominees coming under the spotlight over the next three days.

President John Mahama reshuffled his ministers last month, which saw a major shift that resulted in former Chief of Staff Prosper Bani head to the Interior Ministry. Kenneth Wujangi, also comes in as a Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) at the Flagstaff House.
