Ghana’s champion of champions, Medeama SC midfielder, Malik Akowuah believes his side's Super Cup victory over CAF champions league campaigners, Ashantigold will be a real boost ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup this year.
Medeama recorded a 1-0 win over the Miners at the Accra Sports stadium to lift their first trophy in the year.

Former New Edubiase striker Bernard Ofori grabbed the match-winner with a fine finish in the 88th minute to separate the two sides at the Accra sports stadium.
He beat the off-side trap set by the Ashgold defence and cheekily beat onrushing goalkeeper Fatau Dada.
Enterprising player, Malik Akowuah, feels that by this victory, the Mauves and Yeellows’campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup will be successful.
"It's indeed a real booster for us. We wanted to win this game and I'm glad we did," he said
He emphasised that, they were mentally tough and played better which deservedly gave them victory.

"I am confident this will spur us on ahead of the new season and more crucially the CAF Confederation Cup…. We want to do well than we did the last time around," he said.
