Chief of Nyive in the Norvisi Traditional Area of the Volta Region, Togbe Kwaku Apasu has thrown his weight behind the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo stating he (Nana Addo) would win the 2016 general elections.
Addressing a gathering of mourners of the late Emmanuel Tetteyfio Adjasa, Togbe Apasu revealed he foresees Nana Addo winning the November 7th elections stating Ghanaians most needed him in these economic times.
"Nana, I foresee you to be the next president of the Republic of Ghana in the November polls. Ghanaians need you; and so by the grace of God, you will win massively. Nana, I can promise you that as for this year, I won’t allow the NDC to register the Togolese in my area again. The NDC government has failed Ghanaians; they have been deceiving we the Voltarians, but this time around, we will vote for you. I will lead and campaign for the NPP," Togbe Apasu revealed
The much anticipated general elections is expected to be documented as one of the fiercely contested elections in the history of Ghana as the two main parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lock horns over who leads the country in 2017.
