Chelsea’s 21-year-old defender, Kurt Zouma has been declared injured for the next six months.
A statement from the club read: "Chelsea Football Club's medical team have diagnosed that Kurt Zouma sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament during yesterday's Premier League game against Manchester United.
This means he will miss the rest of the Premier League season and Euro 2016 after injuring his right anterior cruciate knee ligament during Sunday's 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
The club confirmed the French star will undergo surgery , thus he will miss the rest of the season and the Euro 2016.
"Kurt will undergo surgery in the next 48 hours and is expected to be out for approximately six months."
Zuma landed awkwardly during the game at Stamford Bridge and was quickly stretchered from the field.
