Sitting has being suspended in Parliament as parliamentarians mourn the death of Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah who got killed by unknown assailants at his residence in the early hours of Tuesday.
The suspension of Parliament is expected to affect the vetting of the Minister of Interior-designate, Prosper Bani as the 1st Deputy Speaker Baton Oduro says the move is to observe the shocking and troubling assault of the MP.
In the meantime, the Greater Accra Regional Police Command has beefed up investigations into the killing as it has arrested five persons so far as they (the arrested) are assisting in intense investigations.
Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu was stabbed to death after some assailants went straight to the MP’s bedroom. He left behind a wife and two children. He was 50 years old.
