President John Dramani Mahama has expressed shock over the killing of the NPP Member of Parliament Joseph Boakye Danquah in his post on social media saying he received the news with shock.
Police in the Greater Accra Region have picked up one private security guard, and another resident for questioning, following the murder of the Abuakwa North MP, J.B. Danquah.
The security man was at post when the incident happened Tuesday dawn at the MP’s residence. Reports indicate that the security guard claimed not to have heard about the scuffle and struggle between the MP and his assailants.
The police confirmed his death Tuesday morning, but could not immediately confirmed whether it was a robbery attack.
Meanwhile President Mahama has officially responded to the death expressing how shocked he remained over the news.
Meanwhile the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Freddie Blay has charged government and the police to speed up investigations into the murder of the astute politician.
