A Joy News report has indicated that a Member of Parliament (MP), (name withheld) played a major role in the arrest of a young man who has since confessed to killing the Abuakwa North MP, JB Danquah Adu.

According to the source, the MP in question received the information from a whistle-blower who has a relationship with the confessed killer.
He is said to have spent some time with the confessed killer who plotted the killing of an MP while they were both behind bars.
The man whose identity is also withheld, even though was unaware of who the target was, he was prompted by the news and the circumstances of the death of the Abuakwa North MP who was stabbed to death on Tuesday dawn.
Meanwhile, the confessed killer is said to be a beneficiary of the ‘Justice For All programme’ which was initiated in 2007.
The state had failed to produce evidence to convict him on an alleged criminal case which made him go scot-free on the initiative.

The young man who confessed that he commited the murder with two other accomplices who are on the run is also said to be an ex-convict who had been to jail for petty thievery.
When he was arrested, three mobile phones were retrieved with two of them belonging to the slain MP.
The ‘Justice for All Programme’ aimed at ensuring that persons on remand for five years and above without trial were taken through the court process and given a fair hearing.
