Controversial female music icon Mzbel is set to hold an empowerment musical concert, dubbed “Mzbel Rockz”.
The concert which is scheduled to come off on May 1, 2016 at the Bukom Square in James town is aimed at empowering young ladies of James Town and its environs.
Mzbel and her team want to use the platform to sensitize teenage and young adults within the coastal community by equipping them with the requisite sex education through a concert.
The manager of the artiste Kwame Kusi indicated at a press launch that the concert is free to everyone and as part of a re-branding process to give the concert more leverage. On her part, Mzbel emphasized the need to empower young ladies and reiterated her commitment to relief efforts for the people of James town. According to her, they are hoping to replicate the Mzbel Rockz Concert in other communities.
In related development, Mzbel at her press conference hinted that she and Afia schwarzenegger are no more friends and that she is making frantic efforts for them to be friends again.
“Yes we are not friends for now but I am trying to work things out. Afia has a history and it is normal that anybody who has the kind of past she has will easily get offended. I understand that and that is why I am trying everything to make it work.I love her so much, I have reached out to her on several occasions, she is yet to get back to me but I pray God will touch her heart and things will soon get better, hopefully sooner or later things will be back to normal, “she said.
Known in private life as Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, Mzbel returned to the showbiz scene in February last year after a maternity break with the launch of her Red Carpet Show.
