NPP parliamentary candidate nearly killed by assasin

- NPP parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North has survived an assassination attempt by an assassin.

- The assassin got his cover blown after the alarm of  Barbara Asher Ayisi's residence blew off

- Police have refused a mob assassination attempt against the failed assassin

Media reports do indicate that the incident, which occurred on Saturday morning saw the suspect, who is yet to be identified, break into the house of Barbara Asher Ayisi with a kitchen knife and an iron rod.

All efforts to break into the house proved futile after the alarm of the parliamentary candidate blew off attracting the youth who managed to arrest and nearly lynched him but for the intervention of the police.

The incident comes up few days after the killing of  NPP Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu who got stabbed by suspected killers, one of whom has been arrested.

Meanwhile the police are yet to investigate the failed assassination plot.
