-Security personnel in the Eastern Region has ordered all security officials to shoot down cattle belonging to Fulani herdsmen
- The order comes as the police starts an 'operation cow leg’ meant to flush out the Fulani herdsmen
- The operation is to see about 120 security personell deployed
The Eastern regional Police Commander DCOP Awuntubuge Awuni has ordered all security officers in the region to shoot to death all cattle belonging to Fulani herdsmen in the area.
Speaking during the launch of 'operation cow leg’ meant to flush out Fulanis in the region on Monday, the police commander revealed this was part of moves to flush out recalcitrant Fulani herdsmen from the area warning the policemen to shoot down any herd of cattle that would be brought their way.

If there should be a casualty, it must be them. I don’t want you to come with one of you missing, you are not by this directed to fire indiscriminately but my instruction is that you have every right to defend yourself when you come under attack. And my instruction is that; gun down the cows who will be directed to you" he ordered.
The deployment of over 120 security personnel includes the Military, Police and Immigration as they embark on a month long operation covers areas such as Fanteakwa, Upper Manya krobo, Kwahu Affram Plains South, Kwahu Affram Plains North, Kwahu East and Dokokrom all in the Eastern region.
