Founder of the break away party, All People's Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga has promised not to be a joker in the November 7th general elections.
Following his comic performance in the 20120 general elections during which he was nicknamed ''Ayaricough'', Hassan Ayariga explains all his ''jokes'' have been mistaken for his seriousness as a political leader and that he is bound to redeeming his image especially as he leads the APC into the general elections.

People see someone being humorous as somebody being a joker. No!! Nobody jokes at age 40, No!! Nobody jokes at age 40. This political move by Hassan Ayariga follows his defeat at the 2015 presidential and parliamentary primaries of the PNC – a development which saw the disgruntled candidate resign from the party (PNC) as he accused the party hierrachy of manipulating the electoral system against his victory.
The newly created APC is claimed to have its emblem unscripted with Green and cream with the sketch of a broom at the middle.
