- Dr Mensa Otabil has charged Ghanaians to save the nation out of incompetence
- He has described the nature of governance as that which is hijacked by the political elite
General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr Mensa Otabil has charged Ghanaians to save Ghana from incompetence.
During a speech at a book launch titled 'Dare to Dream' by Albert and Confort Ocran ahead of the Springboard roadshow, Dr Otabil argued that the present state of governance in Ghana has hijacked and monopolized everything hence the need for there to be a citizens' revolution.
I hope that as we celebrate this story, and I like how it was put earlier that it’s a revolution and it’s really a revolution. We have to battle, we have to fight, we have to wrest the destiny of our nation from incompetence and from people, who have determined to run us to the ground. We have to wrest the nation back and control it as citizens of this country and that is the challenge I want to put to you. You have to dare to dream to take our nation back, he stated
The comments by Dr Mensah Otabil follows concerns over the mismanagement of Ghana's economy by opposing members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Meanwhile, both major parties, the NPP and NDC are expected to lock horns ahead of the much anticipated general elections of November 7th which has been described as the decider of Ghana's post electoral peace by some political experts.
