Mahama, Nana sad over gory Kintampo-Tamale accident

- An official of Metro Mass Transport has confirmed the death of over 65  people on the bus.

President John Dramani Mahama together with the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo have expressed sadness over the death of over 65 deaths following the collision which occurred on the Kintampo-Tamale road on Wednesday evening.

On his social media pages, President Mahama expressed profound sadness over the accident describing it as a very sad news extending condolences to the bereaved families.

(NPP) flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo have also expressed condolences to the families who “lost loved ones” in the gruesome Kintampo – Tamale highway crash, describing the unfortunate incident as a gruesome accident.

The fatal accident at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region Wednesday evening has claimed over 65 lives according to report. The accident which involved a Kumasi bound Metro Mass bus collided head on with a truck carrying tomatoes believed to be traveling from Navrongo. The incident which occurred 8:00pm Wednesday night also saw several of the passengers trapped in the mangled bus as the locals struggled to cut the vehicles to retrieve the dead and those alive.
